WordTank, originally uploaded by spcummings.

If you've studied Japanese (or had the pleasure of knowing someone who has), you may have encountered the Canon WordTank. This model, now over 10 years old, still gets the occasional use; Cheri uses it to translate knitting manuals. Not that I would have ever known, but Japan has a huge stake in U.S. knitting culture.

All I know is that your picture looks like a photo in the corner of a powerpoint template.

I was thinking it looked like something out of a brochure. The blue light hitting the keyboard helps make that look happen. Not sure that's a good thing.

Nice hands and nails Steve.

Thanks. Cheri was self-consious about it. I was going to use my own painted nails, but I was holding the camera at the time.

I can't imagine that esoteric knitting terms translate very well in one of those types of machines.

Good stuff.

Oopps. I thought that maybe you used the timer or something. Still nice hands.
