The University of Iowa Hospitals has exactly one bank of escalators. It takes people between the first and second floors. I've never been positive what the plan was for this, since the hospital is purposefully horizontal and has several connected buildings across a large medical campus. If you needed to get from the lobby to the second floor of the main pavillion, I guess you're in luck.
