I was hoping not to include a Caribou Coffee shop interior for the rest of year, but this is my life: here I'm waiting for a friend to pick me up. My wife dropped me off shortly after 6 a.m. this Friday, on her way to work, so that I can get picked up and driven to Des Moines for a day-long meeting. It's really cold, it's just daybreak outside, and the Christmas music is playing. And I'm wondering if my friend bew me off or forgot. (She didn't).

I guess that's the message of the shot. And why I was hesitant to use it. But it's what the day brought.
