Thanks. I saw the recent "Marie Antionette" flick by Sofia Coppolla (not at all connected to the bottom book title in the photo). I realize I know little about French history, just Western Civilization stuff from West High. I think some of us remember the nature of that class.

Your wife's side of the bed, I hope.
Just kidding. Impressive array of reads, man.

Yes. The whole of European History compacted and somehow presented to us by the Gilderoy Lockhart of West High.
"Final Exam" (I know it's not, but) sounds like it could be some cheap pulp thriller.
You have a way with books!
Gilderoy Lockhart is EXACTLY right - though he doesn't seem to have lied about any exploits - he was just vain and vapid.
I've become more and more interested in non-fiction over the years. I suspect I would be fascinated by tales of the overindulgent French court.
Carol: Thanks. It's the go-to subject when I'm running out ideas.
Aaron: Yeah, the title has that feel. The book was a gift I haven't gottent to just yet.
Pat: I think I'm reading more non-fiction this year, just sort of in that state of mind.
