I spent the weekend with the in-laws, where no computer can be found, so no upload until today. Here's the back door yesterday during ablustery evening in Des Moines.
Wonderful shot, with some great contrast going on; but the orange glow and what appears to be steam behind the glass definitely gives the impression that these people live in a house that is a gateway to Hell.

I was hoping to convey warmth, but the context isn't there.

Most decidely not.
Warmth, perhaps, if the picture was from about 500 ft away, and the orange glow was a tiny ember in a field of black night. This is molten.
Still, a very cool picture.
